New Fuel Service app helps disabled drivers find full station in Canada

Following a successful overseas race over the past three years, a free gasoline app called ‘Fuel Service’ has just been launched in Canada, helping disabled drivers find full-service Shell stations across the country. TorontoSun reports.

“It’s very successful in Europe and the UK, and we’ve just brought it to Canada,” said Barry Munro, Chief Development Officer of the Canadian Spinal Research Organization, who also helped launch the Fuel Service app in Toronto this week.

Munro noted that around 1

0% of all drivers in the country are either disabled, temporarily disabled as someone who has broken their leg, or elderly with mobility problems.

“The biggest problem is that if you travel alone and you do not have the opportunity to pump gas, you may have a place where you can get gas locally, but you do not know on the way to Montreal or Ottawa where your next stop will be,” in Munro.

“With the app, I can enter the place or request for petrol when I get up and just walk. It’s that simple. ”

The app can also be used by people who are currently socially distant and do not want to get out of their cars.
