Nvidia's Studio Laptop Lineup aims to compete with the 15-inch MacBook Pro

Nvidia has unveiled a series of laptops powered by its RTX graphics processors and a new software platform called Studio, designed specifically for creative professionals who need more GPU power on the go than is now offered by Apple's 15-inch MacBook Pro.

To achieve this goal, Nvidia has committed notebook manufacturers to offering minimum specification machines if they want to be part of the RTX Studio lineup. Laptops will have the Quadro RTX 5000, 4000 or 3000 GPUs or GeForce RTX 2080, 2070 and 2060 GPUs, a 1080p or 4K display, 512GB SSD storage and 1

6GB graphics memory. The machines will also implement Max-Q Design technology, designed specifically for the construction of light and thin laptops.

Basically, the launch will consist of 17 laptops from seven manufacturers, including Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, MSI and Razer.

"NVIDIA Studio pair RTX GPUs, which enable real-time ray tracing, AI processing and high resolution video editing, with studio software to exceed the growing demands of today's creators," says Jason Paul, CEO of GeForce software and technology at NVIDIA. "The new RTX Studio laptops are the perfect tool for advertising that needs desktop class training while on the move."

Combined with Studio Shack SDK and dedicated drivers, designed to increase graphics rendering and The video editing performance, Nvidia claims they can perform up to seven times faster than a 15-inch MacBook Pro under a similar workload.

Nvidia said laptops will begin retailing in June, with prices starting at $ 1,599. The company announced on Computex 2019, which is currently taking place in Taipei, Taiwan.
