] OnePlus 7 Pro and Pixel 3 XL are considered two of the best Android flagships you can buy right now. They are both impressive units with premium construction and all the latest features. But on closer inspection, the tide in OnePlus 7 Pro's favor makes it the logical best option to buy.

    Break it down

Although OnePlus 7 Pro and Pixel 3 XL are modern Android flagships, it's wrong to assume they're like devices. They are quite different, in fact, differ from many of the marquee features they offer. OnePlus 7 Pro delivers a more complete package while the Pixel 3 XL builds on the camera to make heavy lifting.

The flagship murder is finally here

OnePlus has promised to deliver a flagship player since it broke out on stage five years ago. It finally delivered that device with OnePlus 7 Pro, and created a smartphone that not only delivers value but also competes with Google's and Samsung's in the world,

OnePlus 7 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch Fluid OLED display that runs from edge to edge without any breaks, seams or notches. How is this possible, please ask? Through the new pop-up selfie camera that hides when you're not using it. The screen is something to see here and makes the phone a real pleasure. Throw in the Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 12 GB of RAM, and a new triple camera system, and you can't help getting away impressed with the new OnePlus device.

Don't count out the Pixel 3 XL just yet, though. It's a bit older, but it still has a lot to do for it, even if it loses the match with specifications immediately.

Where the Pixel 3 XL starts to turn back is when it comes to the camera.

Pixel 3 XL is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor and 4 GB of RAM. Which in itself puts it under OnePlus 7 Pro. The processor is one year old and the memory card is disappointingly low, even for a flagship. Meanwhile, the screen is an OLED panel measuring 6.3 inches and is just fine. Where it starts to stop is with the camera. Although the OnePlus 7 Pro concealed the camera at the front, the Pixel 3 XL's self-image camera is not as close (thanks to the ugly notch), but it's better because it doesn't offer one but two cameras.

It consists of an 8 megapixel (MP) shooter and an 8MP ultra-wide shoot that comes in handy when taking a group of confidence. In addition, Google's software works magically, providing stunning high dynamic range images and near perfect color correction. Not much changes with the main 12.2MP camera with f / 1.8. There's a reason Google is known for its cameras: the amazing camera software that takes the single shooter over the top. Things that Night Sight delivers the best in low light output.

We're not trying to race on the Pixel 3 XL, but apart from the camera and some other features like wireless charging, like OnePlus 7 Pro Don't have it, it falls quickly behind. The OnePlus 7 Pro hands give you the better value.

OnePlus made sure OnePlus 7 Pro offered the best of the best. The edge-to-edge screen is not only amazing to look at, but it also comes with a 90Hz refresh rate that provides a smooth smooth experience. Its Snapdragon 855 processor and up to 12 GB RAM trounce Pixel 3 XL are dull outdated specifications. In addition, Pixel 3 XL already has performance issues, with many complaints of impaired performance given the limited memory.

OnePlus made OnePlus 7 Pro the best of the best.

And while the main camera may not match everything Pixel 3 XL's camera offers, the other two sensors – tele and ultra-wide – provide versatility that is very convenient and most will appreciate.

Pixel 3 XL is not a complete slouch. The streamlined software that continually gets updates over the years to come and wireless charging is really nice to have. The standard fingerprint scanner is also faster and more reliable than the OnePlus 7 Pro's fingerprint scanner.

However, the Pixel 3 XL starts at $ 899, significantly more than the OnePlus 7 Pros $ 669 starting price. And even if you maximize OnePlus 7 Pro with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage at $ 749, it still costs less than Pixel 3 XL.

    Which one should you buy?

People who want the best of the best should buy OnePlus 7 Pro. From design to specification, it gives a full experience while saving consumers a few hundred dollars.

The Pixel 3 XL is for those who value the camera above all else. The main camera and the camera with dual camera are the best of any smartphone, period.
