Have you ever received a message on your Mac or PC after you disconnected from one of your peripherals and inform you that it was made incorrect? Or maybe after you reconnect a device to your computer, did you find that the files could not be read because you had the wrong draft?
If you disconnect or turn off an external device without first deleting it, the files on the device may become unreadable. Whether you're on the go or have many windows open on your computer, it can be difficult to make sure you've shot out all your volumes safely without disturbing your work.
It's even easier to forget about properly disconnecting your devices if you use a docking station to connect devices to the machine. With just one cable connecting your computer to your dock, you're used to simply disconnecting a cable before pulling out the door.
With the release of the OWC Dock Ejector, you no longer have to worry about forgetting to separate each device you have connected through your dock, individually! Now there is only one click on the OWC Dock Ejector, and when the progress bar is gone, it is good to go.
With both Mac and Windows versions, you can now protect yourself from error-ejecting devices attached through a dock on both platforms.
OWC Dock Ejector lets you separate all volumes attached through an OWC or Akitio dock with a single click. The is always at hand, and the icon is always ready for you in the menu bar on macOS or the system tray on Windows.
It contains a progress bar that tells you when it is safe to disconnect the dock without damaging your files. It tells you when it is safe to disconnect the OWC Dock. OWC Dock Ejector prevents you accidentally knocking out a volume while in use by notifying you of one of the volumes attached to your dock. It will even tell you which program is using it.
Installation is free and easy! You can find links to the downloads for both Mac and Windows versions at owcdigital.com/products/dock-ejector
