In most tutorials or recommendations, a value of 60 frames per second is listed as the ultimate refresh rate for the app to aim for. Ie if the app is able to provide the user experience consistently at 60 fps, there is no room for improvement.
However, what is the case for the newer devices, e.g. iPad Pro that has 120 Hz refresh rate? Do they actually pull UI components 120 times a second, which means that the time to prepare a frame successfully has gone from about 16 ms to 8 ms?
