I want to say MY Powerbeats Pro arrived, but they are not really mine. I take a look at them, so I can write a little about them, but they will soon come to my wife. Wednesday was her birthday, so this is her Combo bday / Mother's Day gift. She was kind enough to let me test drive before she took them, so I won't get in the way of her listening when I hand them over.
One of the big reasons I got these for her is because, like many Apple users, their EarPods and AirPods don't exactly fit her ears. She had tried several times, including recently, but to no avail. As such, she has always declined when I asked if she would be interested in trying out AirPods. She loves wireless knobs and headphones, but they're just not a good fit, pun.
Despite this roadblock to Apple's sold wireless knobs, my wife has tried all sorts of other products, but only for mixed success. The few she liked didn't last long and many were just not that good. Powerbeats Pro will be a great upbringing in the weight class and I am sure she will be thrilled with them.
For my time, I've only had them long enough to listen to a couple of songs tonight, but I like what I hear so far. The bass is much more present, which I like. If you find the bass on AirPods anemic, give them a look. They can only win you.
So far, Powerbeats Pro seems very comfortable. While I have only worn them for a short while, they are light, soft and flexible. They are also easy to put on and take off. Not all buds that have ear muffs can do that, so this is also positive.
The only complaint I have so far is that the charging house is very large. Compared to an AirPods case, it feels gigantic. It would definitely not be tricky for me, but it will probably work for my wife since she often carries at least one small bag.
That's it tonight, but I'm sure I have a lot more to say about Powerbeats Pro in the coming days, including giving my wife's perspective after I hand them over.
