Those who have been closely subscribed to the jailbreak scene as of late may have noticed the sudden stereo synthesis from the team that is not after the release of the Electra Team's Chimera jailbreak for iOS 12.0-12.1.2, but don't be Be wise. Pwn20wnd is still working on unc0ver jailbreak for this day, but he doesn't push updates as incrementally as before.
In a Tweet shared only this morning Pwn20wnd said he has been working on significant updates for both the unique jailbreak tool and Cydia himself. Specific details of these updates are not yet known, but we know that they should make things clearer faster and improve system stability:
From what we can collect , these updates are imminent, but a certain timeframe is replaced by the vague term "soon."
More than two weeks ago, Pwn20wnd suggested that a "great stability update" would be released "soon" with benefits such as a rewritten unrestrict library, new sandbox slots, and kernel data locks, but that update hasn't yet detected:
At the time of this writing, unc0ver v3.0.1 is still the latest version of Pwn20wnd's jailbreak tool. It can jailbreak all versions of iOS 11.0-12.1.2 on any iOS device, but A12 (X) devices are only partially supported from now on due to the lack of a compatible Cydia Substrate for these devices. A12 (X) units will not receive Cydia or Cydia Substrate but will have access to root. Pwn20wnd intends to implement A12 (X) handset replacement support in the future as a solution.
If you do not already use the unc0ver jailbreak tool, it can be downloaded from the Pwn20wnd's GitHub repository.
