Team unc0ver has worked exceptionally hard over the last few weeks to completely jailbreak iOS 12, and while co-creator Sam Bingner plagued a functional Cydia app on iOS 12 just this week, he also noted that much work was still being done before it is clear to the public.
Fortunately, hacker and unc0ver lead developer Pwn20wnd dropped a cotton shell on Saturday morning when he said he had successfully received jailbreak tweaks to run with the help of Cydia Substrate on IOS 12:
In a follow-up Tweet noted Pwn20wnd that he is tempted to release what he currently has in the form of a public beta – presumably as a minor revision of the existing unc0ver v3.0.0 Pre-release, but a timeframe for such release has not yet been determined.
It is worth noting that Pwn20wnd only partially supported tihmstar's v3ntex utilization only yesterday so that iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 4 users could jailbreak iOS 12. Unfortunate Ely, it did not contain Cydia or Cydia Substrate, as they were not ready for production.
It remains to be seen when unc0ver will support all iOS 12 devices in addition to Cydia and Cydia Substrate, but given all milestones achieved so far, it seems that we are just around the corner from a full iOS 12 jailbreak that will Make modding your pwned handset a breeze.
