On a regular basis, Apple World Today publishes a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They are not necessarily new, but they are popular and deserve publicity. Here are this week’s choices.
Fantastic has introduced a free version of data recovery software that allows users to recover up to 1 GB of data on both macOS and Windows system. The tool recovers lost, corrupted or deleted documents, email data files, photos, videos and more from desktops, laptops, external hard drives and USB sticks.
Stellar CEO Sunil Chandna says that data recovery software can effectively recover unlimited file types in all common loss cases – including accidental deletion, formatting errors, virus and malware attacks, partition loss, operating system crashes, media corruption and more.
The software also has a preview so that users can view files before recovery. This helps users decide which version of the file they are recovering so that they can only recover the required data instead of recovering all and have to go through the process of deleting unnecessary recovered files.
Additional features include the ability to recover files from corrupted or corrupt volumes, the ability to retrieve all types of data, from PowerPoint presentations to digital images, the ability to retrieve data from BitLocker encrypted drives, and the ability to recover data from formatted, removable media such as external drives and USB sticks.
