It seems that the iPhone 11 may not be the only Apple device to get a new three-camera setup this year. According to a new report from Macotakara the iPad Pro could also get a three-lens camera setup this year.

The report quotes a supplier from China and says that the iPad Pro 2019 from 2019 has "the ability to be released with a triple lens." This should certainly be treated with some skepticism, as this is the first time we hear such a claim, but it does not seem out of the way. .
Currently, the iPad Pro only has a single 12MP camera, so moving from a single lens to a triple lens array in one year would be a remarkable jump. The iPad Pro does not support features such as portrait mode with the rear camera. Presumably, the rumored new camera hardware for the iPad Pro from 2019 will add features like that, as well as improve performance in areas such as augmented reality.
Meanwhile, Macotakara also says the rumored 10.2-inch iPad could be shipped with a dual camera setup. It is rumored that this iPad is a replacement for the 2018 9.7-inch iPad. While Apple released a new 10.5-inch iPad Air this year, reports have long suggested that a 10.2-inch model is also in the works.
We haven't heard much about what's in store for the iPad Pro lineup in 2019. The device just underwent a major design overhaul last year, so many had assumed it would only receive an internal special shock this year.
The upgrade to a three-camera setup on the iPhone 11 has been rumored to be one of the biggest changes to come with this year's release. The iPhone 11R is expected to go from a single camera to dual cameras.
