Rivet features More than 2,000 free books to help children Learn how to read

From area 120, Google's experimental product workshop, the app is designed for children who are still learning to read.

The app offers more than 2,000 books completely free, smoothed books to be read. There are eight different reading levels in the app.

Children should definitely be able to find a book they are interested in as the app offers a variety of titles in categories such as animals, fiction, history, science, sports, vehicles and more.

Having chosen a book, younger children can get the book high for them so they can follow. This feature can be turned off for older students.

When you read, if a child comes across a difficult word, the app will listen and support how you say the word. All voice processing is finished on the device and not saved.

To keep kids engaged, they can choose from one of eight avatars and earn marks and rewards when they hit milestones. As they continue with the app, it will offer personalized book recommendations.

The app is available for use in the classroom. It is COPPA compatible and collects minimum information to support the app itself. No data is used for advertising purposes.
