Rogers launches 5G Network in New Brunswick

Rogers, who announced this afternoon, has launched its 5G network powered by Ericsson in Fredericton, New Brunswick, which they say is the first 5G launch in Atlantic Canada.

The company says it also operates 5G at Ignite Fredericton’s Innovation Lab at the Cyber ​​Center in Knowledge Park, run by CyberNB.

“As we expand into Fredericton, our 5G technology will eventually transform the way we live, work and do business in New Brunswick,”

Rogers says the 5G network is currently available in over 60 cities and towns in Canada and is the country’s largest. Rogers 5G is available to customers on its Ignite unlimited data plans. While free for now, 5G network access will cost Ignite customers $ 15 per month starting in the spring of 2021.
