If you enjoy a jailbreak on iOS 11 or 12 using the Electra team's Chimera or Electra jailbreak tools, you may be thrilled to know that the included Sileo package manager has been updated to version 1.0.8 on Tuesday with someone remarkable improvements.
Sileo Team announced the update via Twitter this evening:
From what we can collect, Sileo version 1.0.8 gives the following changes to the table:
– Stops battery drain caused by non-updated storage locations
– Resolves a source deletion problem
– Implements a new icon for the app's "Sources" "-fan
Perhaps not surprisingly, this update is only for Chimera and Electra and is not available for Pwn20wnd's unknown jailbreak. That said, if you use one of the supported jailbreakers, this update is available from the standard directory when you update your sources in the Sileo app.
Given the significant improvements in battery life offered by this update, we recommend that all Sileo users go ahead and update to version 1.0.8 at first. Chimera users will also do well to run the latest version of Chimera jailbreak (version 1.0.6), which was released over the weekend only.
LaughingQuoll and other developers are apparently working on a new version of Sileo that will run on other jailbreaks, and you can currently test Sileo Demo on non-jailbroken devices, but it is still to be seen when the latest version of Sileo Demo will match the current version of Sileo on the jailbroken handsets.
Have you installed the latest version of Sileo on your jailbroken handset yet? If so, let us know how it works for you in the comments section below.
