Siri not working with Apple Watch? Here's how to fix this problem



Siri is a great asset to the Apple Watch. The personal assistant allows you to perform a variety of functions such as quickly sending a message to your friend or responding immediately to emails. However, there are times when Siri is not working properly on the Apple Watch. And many of us have experienced it at one time or another.

The problem may be due to many reasons. For example, it may be due to poor Wi-Fi connection or some other error. If you ever find Siri not responding to your watch or just doesn't seem to be working at all, follow these solutions to troubleshoot it.

How to fix Siri does not work on Apple Watch

Make changes to your iPhone [1
9659005] Make sure your network connection (mobile data or Wi-Fi) is strong. If the mobile connection is weak, you can connect to Wi-Fi.

Turn off Siri

Open Settings on your iOS device → Siri & Search → Turn off the switch next to the List for Hey Siri / Press Home for Siri. Then force iPhone restart.

Go to this post to restart iPhone X, iPhone 8/8 Plus, and skip here to restart iPhone 7/7 Plus.

On other iPhones, just press and hold the ON / OFF and Home buttons at once for about ten seconds.

After restarting your device, open Settings → Siri & Search → Listen for Hey Siri / Press Home for Siri and turn on the switch.

Change the language to English on your iOS device. Settings → General → Language & Region → iPhone Language.

Make changes to the Apple Watch

Note: Try activating Siri for each solution given below.

Turn on / off flight mode on the clock

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to the access control center. Then press Flight Mode to turn it on. Press it again to turn it off.

When you turn on Siri on the clock, you see the indicator on the screen, but can't hear what the personal assistant is talking or it doesn't seem to be talking, follow through this quick fix to fix it .

Turn Siri on / off on Apple Watch and restart Apple Watch

  • Open the Settings app on the clock → General → Siri → Hey Siri and turn it off.
  • Just press and hold the side button until the Power Off slider appears on the screen.
  • Then, slide the slider to turn off the unit.

Now, press and hold the side button again until the Apple logo appears. Once the clock has restarted, open the Settings app → General → Siri → Hey Siri and turn it on.

Force restart smart watch

All you need to do is just hold the digital crown and side button for 10 seconds at the same time to force Apple Watch again.

Reset Apple Watch to factory default:

It will wipe all content clockwise. So make sure you back up your data before resetting Apple Watch to factory settings. To reset it, go to Settings → General → Reset → tap "Delete all content and settings."

Then you need to set up the Apple Watch and reconnect it with the iPhone.

Update OS on your Apple Watch

Make sure you have already updated your paired iPhone to the latest version of iOS.

Also make sure the clock is on the charger and that it is at least 50 percent charged.

Step # 1. Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi and keep your iOS device next to your watch.

Step 2. Launch the Watch app → My Watch tab → General → Software Update on your iPhone.

Step 3. Download the update. When asked for the iPhone or Apple Watch password code, you must enter it.

Keep the smart watch on the charger until the update is complete.
