Sleep Tracking vs Resting Pulse: AppleWatch

So the last year or so I've used my watch to track my sleep, through auto sleep.

I also realize that your watch is a great tool for tracking heart rate and we are always told how important your rest is to track your overall health / fitness.

But recently, I have realized that the health program is not able to separate your sleeping HR to when you are awake and as a result for the past year, an incorrectly resting heart rate has been recorded. It is consistent below 50bpm which is obvious while I sleep.

Does anyone know a way to accurately track both sleeping and dormant heart rate? Is there another sleep button that feeds the health data differently, or is it just one or the other? I really want Apple to free up official sleep tracking too …
