I have many hours of educational seminars that are registered and organized as mp3 files on my home theater. These recordings are not available through Audible. I have ejoying to be able to sync them to the phone through iTunes as audiobook files and playlists, and listen to work or while driving. The seminars are usually 12-25 mp3 files and 20-30 minutes in length per file. I would like to be able to sync them to my watch to listen while I drive without my phone, ideally synchronizing the playback position between the clock and the phone, so when I drive in my car, I can pick up where I left my last run. From what I can tell so far:
-I can't import personally owned mp3 files or books to Audible
-I can put them back to music file types in iTunes and try them as podcasts, but according to another post on Reddit The playback position is not saved.
In order of importance I would like to know:
What is the best way to listen to my own mp3 audiobooks / seminars on my apple watch?
Is there any app that can save the playback position from an Apple Watch listening session to the next, ie from run to run?
Is there any app that will sync playback position back to my phone so I can seamlessly switch between listening on the clock or on the phone?
Thank you for your help.
