Apple could possibly name the iPhone XS Max successor as the iPhone 11 Pro. The source of this leak has had a very accurate track record, though he does not clearly indicate that Apple will name the 6.5-inch iPhone 1
If Apple ended up naming the 6.5-inch iPhone 11 as the iPhone 11 Pro, the usual variant would simply be called the 5.8-inch iPhone 11. When it comes to the iPhone XR successor, Apple could call the 2019 iPhone XR or simply the 2019 iPhone.
“Pro” for iPhone? Crazy name programs over the last few years.

Following the Pro Nameplate for the iPhone 11 setup will definitely make a lot of sense as it would perfectly match the product naming scheme that Apple follows for its other products. The company already has an iPad Pro and MacBook Pro lineup and the iPhone Pro name would fit right in.
By using the Pro naming for the 6.5-inch iPhone 11, Apple could add some enhanced multitasking features to which will help distinguish yourself from the 5.8-inch iPhone 11. This will also help the device live up to the Pro name.
There is also a possibility that we can see Apple adopt the Pro naming plan for its iPhone lineup in 2020. That's because the 2020 iPhone is shaping up to be an important upgrade with larger screen sizes, 5G connectivity, ToF camera and more.
The iPhone 11 lineup will see modest improvements this year. This includes a faster A13 Bionic chip, a triple camera system, enhanced TrueDepth camera, larger batteries and reverse wireless charging.
