ColorFold by Martin Pluisch
C olorFold comes from Martin Pluisch. It's a ribbon puzzle game. The goal is to drag the ribbons over the table to cover squares of the same color. Key: Bands can be folded, but not over any of the target squares.
Colorbind (see link below) was the first game used to exploit this concept. It's outstanding. Unfortunately, it is no longer available. It came out in 2010. (Theoretically, old ipads who have this game must be worth more!)
Let's get back to ColorFold . It is very similar and very good.
What is different
1. Random black squares are scattered in the grid to prevent movement of tape.
2. Wormholes: This is a common element in puzzle apps, but it's the first in a band game.
3. Force Movement: When there are blue and tan bands, the blue band forces an opposite motion in tan. Very interesting: There are some levels where blue can continue, but tan is stopped.
There are 100 levels and they are not too hard. Which is good because I like to feel smart.
Here's an idea for future puzzles: what about when a ribbon goes through a wormhole, does it come out with a different color?
Good game Martin!
