The best video doorbell for your Google home – Review Geek

Video door bells are a great way to monitor your front door and receive notifications on your phone when someone comes to bank. But if you want a video doorbell that you can also use with the Google homepage, you really have just one good option.

Nest Hello ($ 230)

While several other video door bells certainly work with Google's home, Nest Hei is truly the only one that has full, true integration with Google's smart speaker, thanks to Nest being a subsidiary of Google. So if you're looking to buy a video doorbell and especially want it to work well with Google's home, Nest Hello is the one that's going to be.

A nice feature has Google Home announces when someone rings the doorbell, which may be great if you are in areas in your home where you usually can not hear the doorbell. But what really makes Nest Hello / Google Home Integration Shine is when you connect the doorbell to a Google Home hub.

With the home button built-in display, you can automatically display your Nest Hello video feed on the screen when someone rings the doorbell, which is super convenient – it's like a digital viewing hole that you can see right from your sofa.

Apart from that, Nest Hello is truly one of the best video door bells, the period. Nest offers a very nice user interface in the app, and the doorbell itself is small enough to fit well wherever you install it.

Budget Option: Ring Door Clock ($ 100)

Although it has been a while since its release back in 2013, the original Ring Doorbell is a great budget option of only $ 100.

Of course, it will get you worse features for Nest Hello, as just 720p video and a much larger physical footprint (making it harder to find a good place to install it). However, it can run completely on battery power, while Nest Hello requires it to connect to existing doorbell cable.

The ring door can be integrated with your Google home and you can do things like starting a new recording, switching motion alerts, and even asking Google what your last call alert was. But unfortunately, you can not stream the video field to a home theater or a Chromecast, which could be a deal for anyone.

However, it's the cheapest video door clock that works with Google Home so if you're on a tight budget, Ring Doorbell can be your best bet.
