There’s going to be a battle for Apple Leakers tomorrow

Mark Gurman. Jon Prosser. L0vetodream. Komiya. LeaksApplePro. Some are well known and others are coming forward. Some release rumors and information often, and others sparingly. What do they have in common right now? All of them have predictions for what Apple will do tomorrow, with some bits and pieces in line and others not so much.

Apple leaks and analysts are different with their information all the time, but it is rare that we get so many with predictions on the record for a single event or release. Tomorrow give us the chance to see some of these leaks go against each other, which will be new and at least a little interesting.

So here̵

7;s how the field is set up at the moment. First you have Jon Prosser, who has been the most productive of the high-profile Apple leakers this year. He predicted a few weeks ago that Apple would release this year’s Apple Watches and iPads (iPad and iPad Air) this week. He has stuck to that prediction and repeated it again yesterday.

He also weighed in again yesterday, who seemed to kick things in high gear:

It was followed by Mark Gurman with this little lump:

So there we have two of the big dogs going toe to toe on whether tomorrow is Apple release day one of three for the fall, or just a preview of upcoming attractions. It’s quite cut and dried this time – one will be right and the other will be wrong. There is no gray area between these predictions.

Well known Apple leaker @ L0vetodream has a very good track record. One of the best, in fact. However, this person weighs only occasionally, and this case is no different. This prediction covers only a small detail, but it stands out with Prosser:

We also have a small difference of opinion about the time of the event and possibly content from @LeaksApplePro on Twitter. His predictions are far less firm, as you can see below.

I found it interesting that LeaksApplePro presented a potential conflict between his sources, which could explain why two fairly reliable leaks such as Jon Prosser and Mark Gurman had divergent information. It almost makes me wonder if Apple is deliberately spreading some misinformation around this incident.

And then we have Komiya, who currently does not have the track record for any of these other leaks, but is definitely trying to build a fast one. He is releasing even more material than Prosser at this time. He largely agrees with Prosser on what will be released tomorrow, with an interesting extra detail.

And to close things out, Jon Prosser had a last tweet a few minutes ago. It seems that everyone sticks to the weapon.

Tomorrow it should actually be interesting.
