This week led to an influx of AirPods 2 rumors. A couple of reports suggested that Apple will release updated AirPods with a new black color scheme, specialized grips, and more. It is still unclear when these AirPods can be released, but Onleaks also claims this week that AirPods 2 will not launch in the fall.
Meanwhile, BuzzFeed News has reported that Apple will hold an event March 25 at Steve Jobs Theater. This incident is said to focus on the company's upcoming subscription News Service, as well as its video service.
While reports say Apple will uncover and preview its video service on March 25, Variety says it is possible that the streaming platform will not start in the fall.
As for the Apple News subscription service, a report this week detailed Apple's ongoing negotiations with publishers. Apple is searching for a 50-50 revenue share, and while it has already signed some publishers on that deal, it is said to be facing the pressure of pushing back from major newspapers.
While Apple has not yet confirmed dates for its annual Worldwide Developer Conference, all characters point to June 3 to June 7 in San Jose, California. Apple will use WWDC 2019 to uncover iOS 13, MacOS 10.15, and more.
Finally, news about a couple of Apple acquisitions appeared this week. Apple says they have acquired digital marketing firm DataTiger, as well as voice assistant startup PullString.
