Thor 4 confirmed, Taika Waititi returns to direct

Marvel knows a good thing when it sees one. In this case, the studio takes Taika Waititi back to Thor 4, and places Akira in place for the benefit of the Marvel production. The news comes just a few days before Marvel is set to reveal plans for Phase 4 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Waititi directed Thor: Ragnarok and mainly rebooted the character by making him a lovable goof. Since then, Thor has become one of the best characters in the MCU, and it seems that Marvel wants to continue Thunder's story in the future.

There is a significant feature for Marvel for some reasons. That means Thor becomes even more a focal point for the Avengers: Endgame. It is also the first time a sign in MCU has got a solo movie. Earlier, Iron Man and Captain America had three solo films.

Few details of Thor 4 are known at this point, but hearing Waititi is back to direct is all we needed to know. It is likely that we learn more about Thor's fate once the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 treater theaters, although we assume Thor is involved in that movie since he flew off with the guards at the end of the Avengers: Endgame.

Now that we know Waititi will be involved in Thor 4, hopefully that means the director will also come back as Korg, which he pronounced in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame.

We should learn more about Marvel's plans for Thor 4 at Comic Con this week.
