The annual Apple event has been announced, which means that the latest in iOS devices and services will be revealed soon. The event, entitled “Time Flies”, will reveal new hardware and services, although recent announcements about delayed devices raise questions about the details. With this in mind, here’s what we can expect at Apple’s “Time Flies” event.
“Time Flies” begins September 15, 2020 at. 10 PDT. As with the recent WWDC, the event will not be held in person, but will be streamed to viewers from the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park.

The September events are usually used to announce new flagship units. In this case, users expect an iPhone 12, but based on recent announcements, Apple may break with tradition this year.
Apple recently announced that the iPhone 12 would be delayed. The release is postponed for a few weeks, which may also delay the announcement. While it is possible that Apple will announce the phone in advance and release it at a later date, Bloomberg reports that the new iPhone will not be the focus of the event.
Instead, the focus may be on a new Apple Watch and iPad.
Reports suggest that Apple is preparing to release the Apple Watch Series 6. The rumored new portable devices include a microLED screen, new health features and sleep tracking. There is also early sound for a “kids mode” for the Apple Watch and smaller models with plastic sleeves (instead of aluminum).
The next expected iPad release is the iPad Air 4. Early leaks suggest that this will bring the iPad Pro’s borderless design to the iPad Air, while adding a Smart Connector for Magic Keyboards, a USB-C port and new, faster processor chips.
Although there is no confirmation of any of these features yet, we can expect to learn more during the event.
Apple has introduced new subscription services over the years, such as News +, Apple TV + and Apple Music. There have been a lot of plans recently to package these services, and according to the code contained in the Apple Music app, the plan will soon be implemented.
The “Apple One” package will allow users to subscribe to multiple Apple services on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac devices. Given last year’s event introducing Apple Arcade and Apple TV +, “Time Flies” would be an appropriate moment to introduce a new service or package.
