TO EVERY S3 OWNER WHO CANNOT UPDATE TO WATCHOS 7: AppleWatch

You need to reset the clock. That’s the only way, no way around it. Just about every other post in the last two hours, people have asked / complained about how they can not update S3 to watchOS 7, so here is a stop for why and how you can get around it.

Why? For some reason, watchOS gets inflated and takes up a lot of space you can not get rid of without resetting it.

Here’s the best way to do it:

  1. Make sure your watch is backed up to iCloud. This way you can restore apps, settings and data after updating. To do this, go to iPhone Settings -> [YOUR NAME] top -> iCloud -> iCloud Backup -> Backup Now.

  2. Go to the Watch app -> General -> Reset -> Delete Apple Watch content and settings.

  3. Connect your watch to iPhone.

  4. Backup from iCloud. Select the backup.

  5. Once the clock is set, you can check for a new update. You should have enough space.
