I've had an AW Series 3 for about a year and a half now.
I owned a Fitbit Charge HR for almost 2 years. In fact, 2 of them went through as they were built like shit and just fell apart.
Today I logged into my fitbit account, and although I haven't had an active fitbit for over 1.5 years, somehow via MyFitnessPal and Apple Health, the trainings registered on Apple Watch, was uploaded to my Fitbit account. The last one was January 9 this year, so I must have changed something that stopped what was happening around then.
Anyway, I went over the calories that were burned per workout on my AW because I wanted to compare them from my old fitbit to what my Apple Watch sees. Surprisingly, I find that Charge HR was recording near what my Apple Watch is recording. My tasks are ~ 2 hours and AW shows everything from 600-1
Even my calorie count is within (plus / minus) a few hundred.
Making math on CICO seems to work close to the numbers I look at both devices that I have emphasized on
about 2.5 years now, which is between 160-165.
I know that these units calorie burns are always taken with a grain of salt, but how can two completely different units record the same calorie burns on a single exercise? And with both of them, the math numbers seem to be close when I track with the MFP.
This seems to me that they both are a little within the ballpark, or at least error margin, to be something close to being real numbers.
Anyone else compares their AW numbers versus any Fitbit device?
