In conjunction with the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) and the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC), Uber Canada today announced the launch of a new security campaign that teaches students about rideshare security and crime prevention.
The ridesharing giant has partnered with Canada's leading campus security organizations to roll out campus security materials and provide tools to encourage students to stay safe.
Uber's campus security initiative package includes a new security toolkit that was made available to more than 500 campus security leaders at colleges and universities across the country. In addition, in-app security banners are used to serve as additional reminders of the importance of rideshare security and safe practices.
"We are excited to continue to build on our security commitment by partnering with key campus security organizations with expertise in student and campus security. Throughout the school year, we will provide security-focused materials that will be distributed to more than 4,000 security leaders at campus across the United States and Canada. ”
