In addition to iOS 12.4, Apple also released the watchOS 5.3 update for any compatible Apple Watch. The update fixes the bugging error with the Walkie-Talkie app and activates it again.
Apple had disabled the Walkie-Talkie app on Apple Watch last week after discovering a major buggy bug.
The company had mentioned in the statement that it was not aware of the exploitation used against any of its customers, and that it required a very specific set of conditions and sequences of events to function. However, as a precaution, Apple disabled the Walkie-Talkie app on the laptop.
In addition, the watchOS 5.3 update extends the ECG app's availability to Canada and Singapore. In March, Apple had extended ECG support on Apple Watch to Europe with the watchOS 5.2 update. When the ECG app was rolled out to the Apple Watch Series 4 originally last year, the feature was only available to US users. But slowly but regularly, Apple has been working to expand the availability of other parts of the world as well.
To update to watchOS 5.3, owners must ensure that their smart watch has at least 50 percent battery life and that the device is attached to a charger. It must also be connected to the iPhone and within reach.
