Apple Watch gets the built-in Calculator app from iOS with watchOS 6 and it comes with some handy new functionality. Read on to use the split watch and Apple calculator tip calculator features.
Apple Watch users have so far had to rely on third-party apps to get a calculator on their laptop (without using Siri to handle some arithmetic). Now Apple's first-party calculator app for Apple Watch comes with watchOS 6, and provides helpful tips and split billing features.
In addition to using these features together, you can use them independently by choosing 0% tips, then choosing how many people will share the bill or choose your tip and leave the People field set to "1
Note: watchOS 6 is currently only available as a developer beta publishing the publication in the fall.
watchOS 6: How to use the split account and tip calculator feature on Apple Watch
- Open Calculator App on Apple Watch
- Enter Total ] of the bill
- Tap TIP top right (next to the sharing button)
- With the Tip field highlighted in green, use Digital Crown to change it (20% tip is standard)
- Tap People  and use Digital Crown to increase how many of you are sharing the bill
This is how the process looks like:
Once you have entered your total bill in the Calculator app, press the TIP button. By default, the Tip field will be highlighted green, raise or lower it with Digital Crown.
To share the bill with others, tap the People field to adjust it with the Digital Crown. There is a limit of 50 people for sharing the bill.
If you want to swap the Tip button with% on the Apple Watch Calculator app, tap on the main screen as shown below and press%.
