I can't really understand the trend of the past, over the past 1.5 years, to be precise. When people compare iOS and MacOS with options, one of the main points they are talking about is – iMessage & FaceTime.
I live in Europe and I think there are hardly any offers from mobile operators that do not include free SMS or certain amount of free SMS per month. iMessage is not useful money wise.
Due to communication with people, some form of multiserver Messenger (FB Messenger / WhatsApp / Telegram / younameit) brings more people together in a simpler way. You do not have an app or web access to iMessage from not Apple OS and therefore you and your friends are locked to this hardware. If you use something common ̵
So now I look for the Reddit community to explain and help me – why people tend to admire no more available iMessage more than they do with the usual way of connecting with people.
