Apple wants to take app development to the next level by making it very easy to develop software for all its major platforms . According to Bloomberg the Marzipan initiative will make it possible to beat iPad apps for Mac apps this year, and by 2021 that will work on all of Apple's major platforms, including the iPhone. 19659002] The Marzipan initiative does not exactly break news for anyone who reports on Apple or is involved in the development of products and apps for Apple's platform.
The Cupertino-based business introduced the marzipan at least a year WWDC collects and displays some of its power. If you've used a Mac running macOS Mojave and interact with the Home or News app, you've already used a marzipan app, since both are mainly ports for Apple's IOS apps.
With this next step in multi-yearly, Apple plans to present a developer SDK at this year's WWDC in June, which will allow developers to build iPad apps that could be immediately shipped to macOS when built with that SDK.
In fact, Marzipan uses the SDK, it is suggested that these apps would be iPad / Mac universal creations, created in the same way that developers create universal apps now that are built for the iPhone and iPad with a single binary. Craig Federighi spoke during WWDC 2018 to confirm that marzipan would be available to developers in 2019, so there is hardly a shocking revelation that it will still be the case.
When rolled out and built into the development community, Apple is expected to expand the platform to allow iPhone apps to undergo the same marzipan processing to act as platform creatures.
The same article also suggests that Apple is currently weighing up the pros and cons of giving the public a talk on their new high-end Mac Pro during WWDC. Given that the Mac Pro is primarily aimed at developers, the company seems to have the right audience in the right place and that the WWDC would be the perfect opportunity to showcase this machine.
Those in Presence will of course also have access to a first preview of iOS 13, which is said to include an official Dark Mode, new iPad-specific features, and inclusions to overtake productivity.
